I have been thinking about this lately because I tend to do a lot of travelling for interior design. I am not planning to use the laptop for drawings, etc but to blog, write articles, etc. I do need a port to load up pictures and a port for a keyboard mouse and an external flash drive.
I am looking for suggestions!

Our interior design firm has been working on a new website as a way to expand our world of design. All of us, especially me did not realize how difficult it is to really design a website from scratch!
My hats are off to all the logo designers, web designers, and SEO people. As a San Diego Interior Designer, I did not realize the complexity of the process and even more appreciate your hard work! I have followed the blogs, Six Revisions, tried to follow everything they said in tutorials, and fell on my face! It makes me laugh and I thought, well, let's go back to the basics! I have checked out from the library, Photoshop for Dummies, Dreamweaver for Dummies and the Adobe Photoshop Book. This really brings me back to basics. How important going back to pen and paper to create the design in your head first! Next, I have suffered and persevered through this quest. The nice thing is that is it a way for interior designers to not only learn a new skill but apply it to their own websites! It make me smile while I try to do this on my own but I also enjoy it. This is what design is about. Taking the past and bringing your own unique style to it. I will keep you posted on this and my view point of interior design.

This took a lot of time and energy on my part to wrap my head around this. Do I want to open myself up to the world? Would people be interested in what I have to say? What about my privacy?
Well, you can tell from two years of blogging that I have kept doing it and getting better about it. In this new world and new technology, an interior designer needs to be at the forefront of interior design and social media. So, this San Diego Interior Designer keeps writing and loves to hear the feedback. That is how you know if you have done it right or wrong!
Just think of it this way…how will people know “who” you are unless “you” tell them!

I thought I would submit this to BlackBerry success story. While I was on vacation
travelling in the Black Sea in last month I received an email from Spark Awards that I
am now a finalist for a custom piece of furniture- the “Beach End Table,” I had designed for a client.
The date of the email is August 24th and I my interior design table must be in San Francisco
by Sept 5th! I was in Bulgaria when I received the email! I immediately texted my
assistant and told her we need the size of the table and the weight so we. Know if
it should be sent Ups, Fed Ex or other means.
I am wondering how I am going to do this? I was going to arrive from Istanbul on
August 31st into San Diego and Sept 1st is Labor Day.
I was able to ship my table to the Autodesk corporate headquarters in San Fransisco for its arrival on September 5th. I flew up to
San Francsico from San Diego on Sept 7th and here I am on Sept 8th and the “Beach End Table” is here and I will find out if I win on October 3.
So without email, text, phone, airplanes and the help of a lot of people behind the scenes, this would never have happened! This is to show how technology and interior design really work!
